Welcome to Job Search Blueprint.
I’d like for you to think of your job search using the analogy of a home being built. First, you need a great team to help you along the way. For a home, you’d need a contractor, architect, electrician, plumber, and much more. For your job search, you need a team too. You’ll learn through this process that your network and support team will be some of the most valuable people you can have with you on the journey.
Next, you need your blueprints or plan. Before the first nail is set, you have to have a plan for how the house will go together. Leave something out and the house won’t pass inspection and it’ll never function as it should. You’ll also need to invest in building a strong foundation before the first brick is laid (or in this case, resume sent).
Anyone who has ever dealt with construction knows you have to plan for the unexpected. Whether it’s weather delays or the fact supplies don’t arrive on time, with any construction project, you can expect to have a few hiccups along the way. Your job search will be the same. But if you plan ahead, these minor delays won’t turn into major stumbling blocks.
Now, let’s get started building a blueprint for success for your career.
